The United States of America boasts the highest number of international students in the world. USA is well renowned for high quality education and good job prospects post graduation. With the current political climate, however, some believe the market for jobs post graduation is shrinking. But that isn’t necessarily the case.
The US job market would differ from the job market in your country. International students usually need the employer to sponsor their work visa. Due to this reason, some companies abstain from hiring international students as it increases cost for the company. If the student is driven enough, they can usually obtain a number of job interviews through their university. It is also a good idea to build close relations with the university’s alumni as a number of job opportunities come through personal connections.
It is recommended that the student be aware of all work visa requirements and other terms thoroughly. That would help the students gauge his/her situation and apply accordingly.
